The great dane has a prestigious spot in the large dog breeds. This breed was originally for hunting the wild boar however today it is well known for being great companions. The large size of the great dane can be very intimidating but they are little softies with a lot of love to give.
The great dane is well known for its height. This breed can get as short as 30 inches tall or as large as 42 inches tall. The weight is different from a male and female. The male can weigh anywhere between 140 and 175 pounds while the female weighs between 110 and 140.
